Use WPC/PVC sheet for a Greener and Healthy India

USE WPC  TO REDUCE POLLUTION

In the last few months , Delhi’s pollution levels were the prime  talk of every  conversation in media, news channels, homes and offices. It was reported that the air quality has crossed the severity level. The sales of face masks and air purifiers exceeded the demand and supply ratio.  Advertisements of do’s & donts were circulated in the city to counter the effects of such harmful air. Just look at the below levels of air quality parameters (PM levels) :
The standard PM2.5 & PM10 Level is 60 and 100 respectively which reached its max at 883 and 1680 in Delhi , a drastic 15-16 times the standard.
In all this chaos and fear , the government and the environmental research agencies were busy looking for the reasons behind this surge in air pollutants.
It came to light  that about half the toxic particles in Delhi’s air, the world’s worst, come from construction dust and destruction of trees. A new study by T.V. Ramachandra and his colleagues at IISc’s Centre for Ecological Sciences provides statistical evidence to the process of creating India’s concrete jungles. Examples:
·        Kolkata’s tree cover, a third of its area in 1980, is likely to fall to 3.37% by 2030.
·        Ahmedabad’s tree cover, from 45% of its area in 1970, will likely fall to 3% by 2030.
  • ·        Bhopal’s tree cover: From 67% in 1992 to a likely 11% by 2030

In India per annum approximately 80 lakhs trees are shed for making Plywood/MDF/Particle board. As a responsible citizen our concise should ask us:

Will this go on like this – cutting of trees, leading to polluted environment and sight of masked men , women and children.

Will the situation never change  ! !

What is the solution to start a new beginning  ???
The best way to fully counter it , is by increasing our green cover , by preserving our present trees and planting more for future.
Preserving our trees means looking for alternatives where trees are used as raw materials like in plywood, MDF and particle boards for furniture. One such alternative is WPC SHEETS (Wood polymer composite). These sheets have been in use in the developed countries  much earlier than India and that it is why these countries never faced any such grave air pollution levels .These countries maintained their green cover and preserved their trees .
In India, The mission to save trees was taken over by ALSTONE and this led to the production of WPC sheets from the house of Alstone. Not only this there is ADF( Alstone Door frames), WPP ( Water proof ply) and Oligo ( high gloss coated wpc panels) . All these products are green, sustainable and durable because of their unique properties and can be used as best alternatives for our furniture needs .
These sheets are very much in demand by the Architects, OEM’S and Interior designers who are always looking for newer, greener and sustainable products to make their projects and creations a long lasting impression and beauty with the authentic and trusted parameters of strength, thickness and density . In this race for search of new raw materials , wpc sheets are much ahead when it comes to being the best .
These sheets use waste material like rice and wheat husk and PVC Polymers and have 0% wood. Apart from this it is toxic emissions free product .Hence a boon to our environment. When compared to plywood/MDF/ particle board it has core qualities like 100% water and termite proof and fire retardant features.
In terms of strength also it surpasses the wood as it can be nailed and screwed up-to 6-10 times at the same place.
It is available in true density and true thickness throughout its size and can be worked upon with the ordinary carpenter tools. A Carpenter enjoys working on it as it is so smooth and hasslefree unlike wood.
Like wood it can be used to make anything from furniture to modular kitchen to decorative interior products in exterior as well as interior application with same ease and satisfaction.
Apart from all this, it is toxic emissions free product .Hence a boon to our environment which is among the best sustainable green product for the future.
