WHAT IS STIXALL? HOW TO USE STIXALL? Complete Guide about Stixall?

A2A StixAll, a high-strength adhesive that bonds Anything to Anything in just 10-15 minutes, is what A2A StixAll. It is quick to grab and has a high load-bearing capability. It can be used on wet surfaces and underwater. It is a natural product that has zero odor and VOC compliance. It is an MS Polymer (Modified silicone)-based product that uses Japanese patented technology. Only Alstone Industries in India produces such MS-based polymer products.

What is Stixall?

StixAll, a strong adhesive, can bond mirror glass and tile to each other, as well as concrete-to-mirror glass, concrete-to-stone, glass mirror-to-concrete, mirror-to-glass, glass mirror-to-tile, glass mirror-to-stone, glass mirror to metal, glass mirror to wood, lacquered to glass, lacquered to concrete, glass lacquered to stone, lacquered to metal and lacquered to wood, etc., metal to steel, concrete to fiberglass, etc. Alstone StixAll can be used to paste mirrors and lacquered glass in kitchen and bathroom fittings.

STIXALL, a chemically curing adhesive and sealant that is one part, combines the best of both silicone and polyurethane technology. It can be used to adhere the most common building surfaces together.

Uses Of Stixall

Sealing and bonding are available in nearly every possible application. Here are some examples.

Use it as a nail-replacement adhesive on damp surfaces.

  • Perimeter around doors and windows in mobile structures like caravans and boats.
  •  Bonding mirrors most common substrates.
  •  Jointing cladding panels.
  • Any application that requires high performance and durability
  • Sealing and bonding joints
  • Applications that provide resistance to needed chemical spillage.

CHARACTERISTICS/ADVANTAGES

  • Strong bonding strength
  • Exterior and interior use.

PREPARATION OF SUBSTRATE

All surfaces should be spotless and free of dust. Surfaces can be damp but not have any standing water. For emergency repairs, it can be submerged in water.

APPLICATION METHOD/TOOLS

  • Cartridge - Remove the cartridge's tip, not damaging the thread. Attach the nozzle to the aperture and use a standard sealant gun to apply.
  • Squeezy Pack - Remove the plastic cap. Use a sharp knife or a razor to cut the nozzle into the required aperture. Take the tube out.
  • Apply light pressure to the base and continue to apply pressure as needed. Before replacing the cap, remove any extra material.
  • Use a standard sealant gun to cut the tip of the cartridge. Then, use a nozzle to cut an opening that will accommodate the desired bead size.
  • Use Plasterboard, wall panels, worktops, and other heavy items to bond. Apply adhesive to the entire item's edge (30-50mm away from the edge). Cover the edges with adhesive beads at 300-mm intervals. You can also apply adhesive directly to the battens and press them.

Note: Always provide temporary support for heavy items until the adhesive dries.

  • For bonding lightweight items (covings, skirting, etc.) Apply adhesive to the back of the item using one or two continuous beads. Press immediately into place.
  • Mark the areas that need to be filled with thicker glue and place them in these areas.
  • Clean up any adhesive residue directly using a cloth or white spirits.

As a sealant

  • The recommended joint ratios should be considered. If necessary, reduce common depth with an Alstone Expanding Foam or Joint Backer Rod. Also, make sure that adhesion is only allowed on two surfaces. Three-sided adhesion can limit flexibility.
  • Masking tape should always be used when the sealant is used in joint configurations to protect adjacent substrates and create a clean sealing line. You should remove the masking tape immediately.
  • After tooling, the joint must be tipped within five minutes to ensure that the sealant adheres to the substrate. The sealant can also be polished with a professional tool.

How to Fix Mirrors

Use 6mm adhesive beads to attach the mirror back in vertical strips. Spaced at 30-40mm centers, apply the strips in 6mm diameter. Place the mirror in its correct position immediately and apply sound, even pressure, using a slight twist action. Tape temporary support until adhesive dries (24-48 hrs). Alstone Stixall can also be used to seal around mirrors 24 hours after they have been fixed.

CLEANING TOOLS

You can remove uncured material by wiping it with a dampened cloth containing white spirit. Mechanical means can be used to remove curled material carefully. Before you can paint again, it is essential to allow the material to cure fully.
