There are many options for building materials to decorate your home. WPC Boards or Plywood can be used depending on the application and usage. It is important to fully understand the manufacturing details and features to decide which option is best.
What is the process of making Plywood and WPC?
MDF and Plywood are made from veneer layers glued together in both the core and the face using formalin-based adhesives. Engineered wood is also known as Plywood. These veneers have a crisscross-bonded structure at approximately 90 degrees of the grain, which provides greater strength and durability.
WPC boards mix sawdust, ground wood particles, or recycled wood with thermoplastic resin. The composite material is mixed with pigments and other additives. It's then extruded using an injection molding machine into the desired shapes and designs for hollow profiles or decking.
Emission-free Ingredients
WPC's superiority is, first and foremost, due to the safety of its ingredients. WPC is safer than Plywood, which uses harmful synthetic resins such as urea-formaldehyde or phenol formaldehyde in its adhesives. WPC is safer than Plywood.
Handling
Another aspect is their ease of handling. WPCs have a low density, so they don't require additional work to be used for aesthetic purposes. WPC can be colored by adding pigments. These won't fade with constant exposure to the sun. They can be used straight away and are great for partitions, ceilings, and wall panels. This makes it easier to paint, varnish, laminate, or veneer. This makes it an economical and efficient choice. Due to the Plywood's surface finish, bonding with any overlaying is easier than in WPC.
Durability
WPCs are also resistant to splintering and delamination. WPC does not have layers of veneers that could be disintegrated, unlike Plywood. Due to cyclic changes, plywood shrinks and swells, causing glue line cracking.
Screw Holding
WPC boards with low density are often less strong in screw-holding capacity than Plywood. WPC boards must have a density of 600 CBM to be competitive in terms of holding and screw withdrawal. This is due to the Plywood's cross-layered veneer structure.
Ecofriendly
Although Plywood can be costly due to deforestation and other environmental issues, WPCs are made from wood waste and sawdust. WPCs are not made from trees. It doesn't pose an environmental risk. WPCs can also be recycled. WPCs can be recycled, although some may be more expensive than Plywood. With different densities, pricing can vary. To ensure you are not being scammed and getting the right product, purchasing Plywood from well-respected dealers is a good idea.
WPC is a superior choice to Plywood because it can resist moisture, resist termites, and be durable. It can also be used in exterior applications. WPC is a better option than Plywood in moist areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. ReplyDeleteI’m really impressed with the benefits of using Wpc Panel for wall The combination of wood and plastic makes them incredibly durable and resistant to weather, which is perfect for areas with high humidity or extreme temperatures. Plus, they’re low maintenance—no need for constant sealing or repainting like traditional wood panels. I love how they also provide a natural wood look while being eco-friendly. Definitely considering WPC for my next outdoor project!
